What can you do in the Sound Control Panel?


  • Select default devices: Choose which speakers or headphones will be used for different types of audio output (e.g., music, system sounds).

How to access the Sound Control Panel?


Method 1: Using the Settings App

  • Press Win + I to open the Settings app.
  • Click on System.
  • Select Sound on the right side.

Method 2: Using the Run Dialog Box

  • Press Win + R to open the Run dialog box.
  • Type mmsys.cpl and press Enter.

Method 3: Using the Control Panel

  • Open the Control Panel (you can search for it in the Start menu).
  • Click on Hardware and Sound.
  • Under Sound, click on Manage audio devices.

Method 4: Using the Taskbar

  • Right-click on the speaker icon in the taskbar.
  • Choose Open Sound settings.
